Editorial policy
How we source, verify, correct and disclose.
Sourcing. Licence data comes from the UK Gambling Commission's public register, checked against the exact licensee name and licence number an operator uses to trade, not against a brand name alone. Offer terms come from the operator's own promotions or terms page, read in full rather than summarised from a marketing email or a press release. Where we report on regulation, we cite the primary document — a consultation, a licence condition, an enforcement notice — rather than a secondary summary of it.
Verification. Every licence number is checked against the register before a review is published, and re-checked on a rolling basis after that so that a lapsed, suspended or revoked licence does not sit unnoticed on a live page. The date of the most recent check is printed sitewide, and it reflects the date we looked, not the date the underlying licence was originally granted or the offer originally launched.
Gaps. Any figure we cannot confirm from a primary source is left out of the page rather than estimated or inferred from a similar operator. We do not publish a return-to-player percentage, an average withdrawal time or a customer service rating unless we can point to where it comes from, because a confident-sounding number with no traceable source is more misleading than an honest gap.
Corrections. Material factual errors — a wrong licence number, a bonus term that no longer matches the operator's page, a withdrawal window that has changed — are corrected promptly once confirmed, and the page carries a note of what changed and when. Minor typographical or formatting fixes are made silently, since they do not affect the accuracy of any claim.
Disclosure. Commercial links are visually marked, carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", and are disclosed at the point of use on the page as well as in our full affiliate disclosure. We do not use disguised or unmarked commercial links anywhere on the site.
Advertising standards. We write for adults aged 18 or over, avoid urgency or scarcity language such as artificial countdowns on offers, never suggest gambling as a way to solve a financial problem, and pair every bonus or offer mention with the applicable risk warning, in line with Advertising Standards Authority and Gambling Commission guidance on socially responsible marketing.
